A Little Bit Of The Great Orme
We took a diversion from our route away from Wales by taking the Marine Drive around the Great Orme, stopping to admire the view just after paying our toll.
On a pile close to the base of a rockface where climbers were practising their sport I saw this fossil and could not resist bringing it home. It is incomplete, roughly three inches top to bottom, slightly convex. I thought with those ridges that it might be a bi-valve, but would be happy for any knowledgeable blipper to suggest an identity. Meanwhile it takes its place among my other fossils, under the heading 'unknown'.
