Guess who I met today?

Yes, it's Molly the gorgeous collie with Ann, her lovely owner.

We met in Corbridge at lunchtime, after Ann had driven from Derbyshire. Molly doesn't much like the car journeys but she perked up for a walk by the Tyne.  Ann kept her on her lead because she did not want a wet, stinky doggie in her car for the rest of the journey.  We seemed to be high above the river, with no way down, so she let Molly off. Guess what?  Molly almost immediately found a way down into the water...........

I had found a dog friendly pub in Corbridge - there are very few in the area. When we arrived at the Golden Lion all the doors were locked and we had to bang on the window to attract attention. The new landlord took over on Monday and the beer had not arrived until this morning, just half an hour earlier.......  We had excellent sandwiches (with chips and salad).  Molly behaved impeccably and I gave her 2 Bonios under the table.

I waved goodbye to them as they set off on the last leg of their journey north.

What a great blipmeet this was!
