Over the downs

This is the sort of quintessential country road that makes you think you can drive along it with your foot to the floor and your mind in neutral.  It is, in fact, frequented by dangerous psychopaths with driving licences.  I'm not sure what's worse, the van drivers who throw up window shattering boulders as they speed past, or the people in large 4x4's who refuse to move over or can't reverse.  Before I owned a 4x4 I used to find this particularly irritating, but now I understand.......you wouldn't want them to get dirty and you can't use the reversing camera when you are watching a DVD.
