There's many a Slip

Weather-wise, a truly atrocious day.  As the day has progressed some mighty big waves have been pounding the cliff below the house, all rolling in from the south east.  CMC lit the stove at 1.00 pm and informed me she has decided to make a quilt.  Continued our wrangles with the insurers of the Hoy Kirk in trying to get the go-ahead for repair work to be carried out.    I’m currently rifling through the recipe book in the hope of inspiration.
