Not an ideal place for a walk when the rain is pouring down but I did stop for a brief walk on route to visit a friend in Bearsden. At the weekends or on a nice evening there is hardly a seat to be had at this bar/restaurant as folk gather at the side of the Forth and Clyde Canal to watch life pass slowly by.
