Happy Birthday

Today Sophie was 9 - my little girl is now not so little.
So we started the day in traditional fashion, all four of us in Mummy and Daddy's bed opening cards and presents.
This was followed by Pain au Chocolat and Croissants, our traditional birthday breakfast.
Then it was off to music centre orchestra for Jonathan, and swimming for Sophie - nothing stops for birthdays.
Then a trip to Waitrose rounded off the morning - well we've got to get all those yummy treats to eat.
Then it was a picnic on the beach and a swim in the sea. The water was freezing, but we still went in.
Then friends came round for tea followed by an evening watching DVD's and eating popcorn and sweets.
Soon it'll be bed, for a little sleep and lots of chatting.
