Waiting Patiently
Today was going to be spent in the garden but I couldn't resist a jaunt to my favourite headland and beach. The east wind seemed as strong as any winter gale but this wind was warm and the sun strong. I read for a while on a West facing beach for a bit of shelter, then had an explore and saw the pair of swans that are resident in Dunmanus Bay, the female remained on the nest, while the male swam nearby, I thought she looked so beautiful and patient. This offspring of this pair did not fair so well last year as the cygnets in Schull, only one survived and I think there were four hatched. Hopefully this year will be a better year for them.
