Year Three

Charlie Chaplin

Well, this Maine Coon has been hanging round the house for a few months now.

We already feed one feral cat, we've named Little Boots because his feet are white, and he's a mackeral tabby. And then this guy turned up to have dinner each evening.

And this is where it gets confusing - they both have deformed dewclaws. My wife, who has had a few cats, reckons she's never seen deformed dewclaws like this - so to have two cats at once turn up with it seems odd.

But, this cat, who I've named Charlie Chaplain this evening, is friendly, cuddly, and engaging, whereas Little Boots is properly feral - one year in and we still haven't been able to touch him. Charlie though - picked him up the other day, held him upside down to see if he was male, female, or a fixed male. Couldn't tell. He still let me hold him upside down though!

So in theory, he's owned by someone.

BUT. The other day he got injured, a 2" cut down his leg and if he is owned by someone, they haven't done anything about it. Kinda starting to think he's been abandoned.

Tried to put a bandage on his leg, which looks much better, and hopefully his owner will see the bandage and investigate. If they don't......then I figure we now have two outside cats.
