Lotus moment

Oh dear, oh dear. My old programme is in the Lotus zone. Loads of Trouble Usually Serious. The news has been awash today with the story of one JC being involved in a 'fracas'. So Top Gear is off the air, for now at least.

It is a very long time since I was one of the 'gang of four' presenters on old TG, who preceded the current laddish gang of three. It's a vastly different programme now, more comedy entertainment than motoring magazine, and hugely successful. I feel a little saddened by its current difficulties, and the possibility that a programme that has been around since 1977 may be running out of road.

This old coffee mug dates back to my time on the programme, and I thought it would make a topical blip for today. It didn't take long, though, for our black stealth model, Alfie cat, to get in on the act ...
