Past glory

The ruined mansion house of the Russell's of Aden is one of the main features of our local country park. It's fairly easy to imagine what it looked like in its hey day. Now it's a place for play and picnics, and a backdrop for performances in the park. It looks particularly impressive in this shot against that very blue sky with the shadows flickering on the stones.
