An Old Airman's Life

Cannon Chinese Kitchen

Finally had a pretty decent day.  Worked until lunch and took Buddy out for a run.  I rode.  He ran.  3.05 miles according to MapMyRide.  He is taking to it pretty well.  Left turns are easy.  I just pull him  into them.  Right turns are a bit harder.  He still hasn't learned his left from his right so when I yell "RIGHT!!!!"  he doesn't always get it.

The area of town across the freeway from us is called the Near Southside.  It was an area of  town that suffered a major fire after WWII and the population just moved out.  I was told that by the 1960's most people had left and the urban planners simple demolished entire blocks of homes.  The area is being revitalized and some of the old homes that are still standing  are being remodeled.  Here one of the houses is  being converted to a Chinese restaurant.  I hear they are pretty good at their other location.

The thing parked in front is a food wagon.  It is pulled to an event.  Folks sell food and beverages from the wagon.  Most of them are now self propelled food trucks.
