Spring sunshine at Harlow Carr
We had intended going to RHS Harlow Carr tomorrow but the weather was so good today and with tomorrow's forecast poor we had a quick lunch after Pilates and then hurried off to enjoy the afternoon.
It was lovely though quite cold. The display of winter heathers by the main entrance were quite stunning, as you can see, so this had to be my blip. You could see there glow right across the gardens.
I had thought there would be lots of daffodils out but they were further back than ours at home. Still there were lots of crocus and snowdrops fully open in the sun giving great colour and signs of lots of tulips to come.
We made it into Betty's for tea bread and tea at the end of the afternoon (there was a huge queue when we passed to go into the gardens and we were told that they had been exceptionally busy and all the scones and fat rascals had gone!)
A busy day but rewarding day not least as I got a great handbag in the Handbags and Gladrags exhibition in the bathhouse.
We will be back!
