Aira Force

A circular route (by car) today. First a shop at Sainsburys in Penrith as basic food supplies were getting low. Then on to Rheged to see the Herdwick photo exhibition. The prints were massive and for the size the sharpness and detail was amazing. 

We took the scenic route home (ok, the super scenic route) via Ullswater stopping at Aira Force for a walk up to the waterfall. We'd hoped to have tea and cake in the cafe but a sign said it was closed (for staff training). Glad we'd had a coffee at Rheged. This shot from the top of the falls was more impressive than those I took from below. Gorgeous weather all day :)
