Gardening
It's been a gardening day.
We've had a weird spring here in Scottieland. Very warm in March, and then 6 weeks of cool weather - cool as in 8-10°c when the normal temperature would be 12-15°c. That has made gardening a bit fraught.
Then unbroken sun for the last 7 days. So the weeds have had a lot of fun, with no hindrance from me. Until today.
So 4 hours of hard graft to make up for all that missed time. I have strawberries now almost ready in the greenhouse. Dill and parsley in there as well - grown from seed, so harvesting is a while away yet.
This year's wee innovation is sunflowers. I've grown about a dozen from seed in the greenhouse, and now I'm planting them out. Hoping for big things (literally) in September.
Let's hope it doesn't rain every weekend until then - to punish us for the 7 days of sun - and I get to build on today's donkey work.
The shot is just some of the colour around - mostly green in May, but set against a blue sky that works OK.
