Consultation

One concern I had about the garden was that we're not used to anything this size, and if we went about sticking in a plant here and there they'd end up looking like pimples on a haystack (or something); so we called a local expert in.

We had a very pleasant couple of hours talking through our plans to restore / revive the garden.

Yay! I've found the penguins!  Finding something under 1cm high in a house of 650 sq metres is a pleasant surprise.

On a less positive note, 'A' is now in hospital, very unwell, and E has gone over this evening by train. (At least that's feasible, unlike from Cambridge)
