I've always wondered what happens if you forget to scan something during self scan as you go.  Now I know.

Tesco do a random scan of your shopping every now and again.  Just scan 5 to 10 items out of your trolley to make sure there's nowt afoot.  I forgot to scan a couple of items so had to get the whole lot done again.

I was thinking as I did it, does she err on the side of "he's on the take" or "ach people forget to scan the odd thing all the time..."  I'd like to think that items as random as a couple of bananas and a bottle of fairy aren't construed as me trying to get away with it.

But will I now be subject to more frequent random scans?!?!?
