Geocaching course - the first class
My studies at TAOKK include 30 hours teaching practice. Since I'm not working at any learning institution I was confused what to teach and where. Then everything sorted out beautifully. I'll do part of the practice hours at my workplace FSD where I'll train office applications and the rest of the hours I'll get by organising a geocaching course at Pirkan opisto adult education centre. Today was the first Geocaching class. There were 10 students, my instructor (to give me feedback) and one of my fellow students (to give me peer review).
The class went very well! The students were very very nice and I got excellent feedback. I'm feeling good! The course will continue once a week till 20th of April. In the picture is the class before the students arrived. The course is held at Pirkkala upper secondary school.
And you guys who do not know geocaching, here is a nice introduction video for you!
Leevi had a good feeling about his test today. He choose a topic about the use of the arctic areas. There were 14 different topics to choose from.
(In the mother tongue textual skills test the candidate's analytical skills and linguistic expression are measured. The essay focuses on the candidate's general level of education, development of thinking, linguistic expression and coherency. The weighted sum of points determines the candidate's grade on the mother tongue test.)
