Hanwell Flight

Walked along the river from Richmond to Hanwell today. It was absolutely beautiful saw lots of barges, rowers, a few herons and even people fishing. The photo is of Hanwell Flight which is a group of six locks which raises the Grand Union Canal 53 feet in 600yards. Apparently the canal can be followed all the way to Birmingham.
