#33 Arequipa, Peru
We got up early and paid our last visit to our favourite Irish breakfast place. Full of porridge and Peru tips from the owner, we got on our bus to Puno. We didn't realise quite how close to the border we had been and 10 minutes into the journey we were at border control. We had all overstayed our welcome in Bolivia by 3 days but for some reason it was only Josie who had to pay the extension fee (haha). Once we were stamped out of Bolivia we walked 100 meters, changed our Bolivanos to Pesos and got stamped into Peru. The bus journeys afterwards were long and it wasn't until 9pm that we made it to Arequipa, where we inhaled some pasta and fell asleep.
