Pennines
Last autumn I decided I'd love to see snow on the tops of the Lake District Fells, so I booked holiday from work and a B&B in Bassenthwaite for the 4th-6th March.
Our blip friends from the Lakes were getting concerned as the snow that had recently fell had all but disappeared. However, on our way over the Pennines on the A66, we were rewarded with a scene of recent snowfall which made the scenery absolutely stunning. I think the lorry drivers on that stretch of road thought we were mad as we would stop in a lay-by, take some photographs, continue our journey - overtaking those same lorries again and then stopping in the next layby to take more photographs of the stunning scenery and so on!
