le grand depart

well, a wonderful birthday weekend has come to an end.

this morning we lounged about and ate lots of food before waving goodbye to these two lovelies. then straight out to meet athena for a birthday coffee (it's her birthday today and her hubby is away in thailland). then a weekend full of the most amazing people ended with a visit to the most amazing chickensparrow. it's been a celebration filled from beginning to end with some of the best people in the world.

but now i'm exhausted (put it down to age) and actually quite glad that birthdays only come around once a year.
