Calmness reigns at the Solling
Once in while we must
sit around without any
thing waiting for fulfilment.
Just this leaning back
while the sun is lowering
between the bare armed
hillside trees. Nobody’s
calling, so blessed we’re
just here nearly dozing
off from this present.
The yellow butterfly is
coming in to taste the
crocuses. The blackbird
hops around to see if
there might be some
dinner crumb to snatch.
Our hours hover high
on cloudy wings. The
terrace fades in dusk
until our newborn
memories have joined
the golden edges of
this blessing day.
