Giddy up!
Portencross beach, West Kilbride in sunny Scotland.
Beautiful day, beautiful scenery, beautiful horses galloping across the beach.
I love the beach at Portencross. It's never too busy and the view over to Arran is really quite spectacular. Youngest and eldest had a ball building pyramids in the sand and stomping them back down again as the tide tried to gobble them up (the pyramids, not the boys).
Hubby pitched a tent for us all to lounge in at lunchtime. I'd doubted the wisdom of taking a tent to a breezy beach but it turned out to be a very good call on hubby's behalf. No sandy sandwiches and a respite from the sun when the boys started looking more lobster than prawn.
Stopped off in West Kilbride town centre for an ice cream. For once I chose the best flavour - Jamaican me crazeeeeee flavour. It reminded me of something from my childhood but I can't put my finger on it. Just have to go back and try some more!
