Turkish Night

Yesterday after school, the girls flag team practiced with the boys, which ended with me bruising my whole left leg - it still hurts. Right after practice, I walked up to the Ulus gate to check tickets for the Turkish night. This photo is from the Turkish night itself, I had a lot of fun and hopefully so did everyone who joined us. The event was beyond anyone's expectations. The SC came up with, planned and organized the food, music and activities for the Turkish Night in just 2 weeks and it turned out to be the best SC event in a long time. I wasn't expecting Ceylin, one of my best friends and the girl I'm laughing with in the top photo, to be there since she said she had other plans. I was disappointed and pressured her for days before finally giving up. She surprised me by coming to the event and we had a lot of fun even though I spent most of my time in front of the photobooth taking pictures of other people. The other photo was a "selfie" taken by Kaan with my camera so we were't able to see how we looked. I think it turned out pretty genuine. Yesterday was exhausting, but I laughed a lot (mostly at Ceylin's dance moves) so I guess it was a nice day.

"I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy. Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun." -Charles R. Swindoll
