The village of Oostkerke

Today I went out for a small bicycle ride .
One of the little villages nearby is Oostkerke . It exist since the 12th century .And has now about 700 inhabitants .
The village had many setbacks and during World  War 2 it was completely destroyed .  After 1945 the village was rebuilt . Notice also  the special construction of the  church tower. It  is a typical construction for this coast region.
