TARTAN SCREENSAVER

My beloved Kobo is no more
I dropped it on the kitchen floor
The screen has not a single crack
But nothing's bringing this Kobo back

A tartan view is all I see
As it rests upon my knee
No books appear as I wait
No pics, no Blip, no 2048

Though that might be a good thing

The power button still shines red
So it cannot be completely dead
Hidden beneath its tartan shroud
Its life a memory up in the Cloud

I hope

My Kobo it had served me well
Until I rang its harsh death knell
So I've given it a hug and pulled the plug
Which gave my heart a little tug

For what I've done I am not proud
As I nervously check the Cloud
The Kobo is dead
Long live the Kobo

Now it is time to get in a muddle with a Hudl
