Royal Project

These projects are all over Northern Thailand were set up to encourage hill tribe and other communities to grow alternative crops to opium poppies. I always like visiting as it's oddly comforting. The weather at high altitudes is like a British summer and I like being able to name most of the plants, fruits and vegetables. Crops like artichokes, plums and rhubarb fetch a high price here and are also exported.
