Rhossili Down

I found myself today. I rediscovered the me that's been lost to work for way too long. We are staying at a very colourful and utterly delightful B&B (Western House, hosted by the equally colourful and lovely Pippa, and Steve) in Llangennith on the Gower Peninsular in South Wales. It's a little village with a great pub and a real sense of community. The setting is spectacular.

We've walked and bimbled, and I've done a little running too, taking a circular route out to the Worm's Head, crossing the causeway at low tide, going out along the coast and returning over what the locals call the mountain..

It's been a day of rich contrasts. After sitting under greyness for most of the day, we could see blue sky and the sun hitting a headland just a few miles away. It took ages to clear this far end of the Gower, but eventually it did and it was worth the wait. The light on this last leg of our walk over Rhossili Down was sensational. We then watched a wall of cloud recede westwards to leave a beautiful late afternoon. It's been the perfect day, in perfect company.
