Birthday Torta di mandorle and pere

I spent the day at the Tastes Divine  Cookery School doing  an "Indulgent Italian"course. All the food I made was eaten in the evening for my husband's birthday meal.
Here is what I made, and what we ate -
Pollo al forno con puree di patate dolci ( baked chicken with parma ham and sweet potato mash)
The pear and almond tart - shown on the blip when it was about to be cut. There is room for improvement but it tasted delicious.
Lemon and Hazlenut Biscotti for dunking in our coffee.
