The stream

It has been a gloriously hot and sunny day - exceptionally so, given the weather of the last year.

This is the water that enters our garden pond down a small rock face. It comes from the overflow of the tanks that used to provide our water supply , until the mains came to Glendaruel in June 2010.

It was not running this morning (something that happens when the level of the feeding stream gets low or, conversely, when the stream has been in spate ) so I had to sort that out early on.

Now, by speeding up the shutter, and getting the closest focus possible , I hope the blip gives a little of the impression of cool , gentle , refreshing motion which I suspect we all want (even just a little) by this stage.
