Dad and Regina

I went down for a visit and a coffee with Dad this morning. He seems very chipper and the carers all love him. I don't blame them.

This is him having a chat with Regina the Peach Face Lovebird. Apparently she bites. Dad might find that out the hard way.

I don't enjoy saying goodbye. Even though he is only in the home for two weeks he doesn't understand why he can't come out to see me off. It breaks my heart to gently turn him back at the door and leave him in the secure section. I need to remind myself that he seems to be enjoying his stay.
