All Clear After the Storm

After last nights' thunder, lightning, hail and heavy rain (about 25mm) it was great to see the sun this morning. Unsurprisingly, the Kowhai Stream was running again, no doubt helped by the deluge up on Little Mount Peel, seen here in the background.

Today's been a day mainly spent in the garage. Since we moved seven weeks ago, the garage has been a bit untamed, home to pretty much everything that once resided in two sheds at the old house. Today though we tried to bring order from chaos, erecting some dexion shelving and having another sort out of stuff for to be disposed of (why did we bring it with us you may ask!).

With the trailer half full of stuff for the transfer station, we'll make a quick trip to Ashburton tomorrow (we have other stuff to do there too) and empty it, ready for round two of the Great Sorting.
