Ten thousand people took part in Brisbane''s 24th International Women's Day Fun Run, raising funds for cancer organisations.

I took this near the end of the run, half a kilometre from the finish line. It was so crowded that many were walking as there was little space to run (it was also 30C and very humid at 8.30am so that might well have been a factor too).

THere are so many groups and individuals doing this kind of thing around the world - what an enormous contribution they make to the well-being of those in need.
