On My Way to Class
I went to another woodworking class today, down in La Conner. I left home a little early to allow time for a quick blip from the iconic Rainbow Bridge across the Swinomish Channel. Although Cynthia and I have been to La Conner several times, we never ventured as far as the bridge.
It was a beautiful drive down across the Skagit flats in brilliant sunshine. I saw several raptors, including two bald eagles, and a huge field of daffodils, reminding me that it will soon be time for the Tulip Festival.
After the class, I enjoyed a very nice lunch of Eggs Benedict with a pint of Green Flash IPA in Seeds Bistro and Bar.
P.S. The bridge is named for the shape, not color scheme -- it's a monochrome orange.
