Sheffield Park House

Mentioned in the Domesday book. 3rd Duke of Norfolk entertained Henry V111 in the former mansion on this site. In the 18th century The De La Ware family created , with the help of Capability Brown, what is now known as Sheffield Park with its glorious lakes and lawns,very well known for its autumn colour. Owned by The National Trust.
