Losing the light

A beautiful day today after yesterdays storm, so it felt good to get out for a walk at the estuary.

I was admiring the early morning sun turning all the reeds to gold, when suddenly the sun went behind a cloud. I have never see such a dramatic change happen so quickly. From a cheerful summery pic featuring the grasses and trees, to this darker more moody scene with reflections, in mere seconds.

I hastily took a photo to record it, and then it was just as quickly gone as the sun reappeared.

It shows how important light is in photography.
