Ice Indulgence
Went to Lake Michigan in search of ice caves. This year they have formed on a greater area of the lakeshore. Last year was the 'epic' year for the ice caves but this year seems to be a fierce competitor. They were stunning and I got some great shots but I settled on this one because I'm drawn to the blue ice.
Ice weakly filters light. It removes red light while transmitting the shorter blue wavelength, so thick chunks of pure ice will appear blue.
