Shorwell Shute

One of my favourite hills on the road from Newport to Brighstone was Shorwell Shute, especially when the wild garlic was in season from March to May. There was so much growing on the verges here that the aroma was heady.

I wasn't such a fan of Shorwell Shute when it snowed and became impassable though.
