Dry Stone Wall

We are fortunate to be bounded on three sides by beautiful old field walls. I love the way that the courses meander along and I think about those who built it long ago. Wildlife shelters within it; birds, small rodents, insects and even the occasional amphibian. If we ever leave this house, I shall miss the wall and its inhabitants more than anything else, I think.
