Hastings

I hadn't been to Hastings since I was about 8 years old, which is a very, very long time ago, so I thought it was about time I returned!

I got up at 5.30 to get to Victoria Station to get a train before 8.00 a.m., so I'd have a few hours there.   Like a lot of seaside towns, the centre was a bit run down, but I really loved the Old Town, the narrow streets and houses and alleyways climbing up the hill,  the Net Huts, the walk up the top of the cliffs with views over Hastings and beyond and The Stade shingle beach where the fishing boats are launched.  It was such a gorgeous, sunny day too, really Spring-like!

I'm quite exhausted now and my eyes are too tired to look at the laptop, so I'll be back tomorrow to look at your journals.
