If I thought yesterday was long it was just the warm up for today.
I had anticipated that my 0530 start would mean a 1500/1600 finish, I had mentally planned the day;
Spare Driver followed by some driver training then home.
Not a bit of it, 0530 start and then, "Mick can you do Duty *****"
It was a 1930 finish - a fourteen hour day loomed, the look on my face obviously conveyed my dismay so it was reduced to a thirteen hour day.
Shattered doesn't even come close.
