With his hounds and his horn in the morning !

Indeed it was the sound of his horn that
brought my car to a halt on the way North
from Scarborough to the wilds of Ravenscar
passing through the unspoiled National Park
of Staintondale and home since the 13th
Century of the Staintondale Hunt - believed
to be the oldest in the country. They are a
proud local community and more than
capable of looking after themselves and
keeping their traditions alive - be it the Church
or the Hunt.
