Smiling Saturdays

H was out on a course today so the children helped me with a load of stuff I needed to do. This mainly involved nipping in and out of shops in Cambridge picking stuff up, including the guitar shop (fear not I only bought a lead and some new drumsticks for Poppy). Their reward was lunch from Steak and Honour, which as usual was most excellent.

We seem to have spent the rest of the day in the garden. Poppy and I cleaned the Rabbits and the Chickens and tested the Zip line, luckily it still works and Poppy still screams every time she goes on it. Then she cleaned the trampoline and I spent half an hour swearing at the safety mat which never fits. H came back and helped, after more swearing I decided it was easier to attack the mat with a pair of secateurs. I now feel much better and the mat sort of fits but I suspect I'll need to buy a new one.

Alf started cricket training today, it really does feel like spring is here so I should probably stop typing and start on the gin.
