Erik, The Heron Man

In Frederiksberg park, a little out from the city centre, you can find Erik everyday (except his holidays) feeding the grey herons. He's been doing this since 1998 and spends 500dkk (about £50) on fish a month for the birds. The park now boasts the largest colony of grey herons in the north (Scandinavia, I think he meant). 

Frederiksberg park is a fairy tale sort of a park and Erik gives it character, just check out this 3 minute video on youtube and you'll see. There's another one where he strokes one and feeds another from his mouth. Quite a special man.
