Consumerism

I've been working on this thing about the Seven Deadly Sins and decided that "gluttony," in a way, is just an older word for what we today would call "Consumerism."
Or vice-versa.
Plus a special magazine came with this morning's paper--The New York Time's Style Magazine--and it was dripping with consumerism...and waiting to be cut up.
