Interior of a Buddhist Chapel

Wat Pathum Wanaram is a Royal Monastery located at Siam Square right downtown Bangkok.
Although it is entirely surrounded by high rise buildings it is still magically quiet and peaceful there. 
Sometimes, I like to go there to escape city life and feel the serenity of the place. It is big and there is a wide wooded space that feels like a deep forest and many people come here to meditate in the shade.
This is a beautiful chapel, which is part of the monastery. Notice the ancient wall paintings on the sides.
