Take a group of very clever metallurgists and engineers, give them access to some very powerful computers, and they will provide you with a strong, light and highly efficient aerofoil to use as an aircraft wing. Give a brainless sycamore tree access to sunlight, water, oxygen, carbon dioxide and a few soil minerals and it will turn them out by the hundreds of thousands! Isn't evolution by natural selection a very wonderful thing?
