Malachite kingfisher

For our first full day in the park we did a drive to Crocodile Bridge and back. We saw plenty of birds and some game too. 
There were quite a few bird pictures to choose from, but I decided on this diminutive kingfisher, which was sat on a rock right next to the road for quite some time. It used it to patrol the river and every now and then it'd fly off and fortunately return to the same spot. There was time to manoeuvre the car to exactly the optimum location for photography!
