White Out

StorksRock heads from post to post across the top of Aakenus to Porokamppa  hut.  A great day out and blipmeet with ButherlaziBird and Emma and George. The last time we were up here (nearly 5 years ago) it was summer and I remember lots of starkly beautiful rocks covered in coloured lichen. Today it was just snow and mist, but a fantastic experience. Up near the top on the way back we thought about going a different way back, which mean moving away from the posts. There was just the one post visible so we applied Georges' stick test we walked up to the stick and if we could see another one we would carry on. Luckily we did and we had an interesting descent off the main track following a trail made by some people we had met at the hut.
