A few moments on the island, so I popped down to see St Blane's chapel in the winter. The view is from the 12th century nave through into the 14th century nave, on the site of the 5th or 6th century original chapel. The vikings destroyed it all, and now it's only used for worship (sans roof) twice per year. The Christian heritage of that island is deep and strong!
